Climbing the Clean Green Curve: Training for a Cleaner Green Earth

Now more than ever, businesses are joining millions of individuals in keeping the environment clean for the future health of the planet. These businesses are being recognized for their efforts through third party green certifications. Other businesses are sending employees to green training classes in order to run environmentally clean establishments.

Green schools are filled with concerned business owners and individuals alike who have a sincere concern for the wellbeing of the planet.

Green Schools

Green schools provide courses in renewable energy training, wind training and energy auditing just to name a few. Home energy audits have performed in residential buildings many years. Recently, the U.S. Marine Corps order the first energy audit in a war zone to find ways to lower the fuel costs used by Afghanistan ground troops. Interest in green jobs has seemed to increase the issue was frequently addressed by President Obama. But true advocates for the planet did not need White House intervention to realize that the earth must be kept clean in order to save the environment. For decades, men and women have dedicated their lives working for the preservation of the natural resources and inspiring others to do the same. They are still training their children and grandchildren to do the same to ensure the environment remains safe for future generations. While there is certainly money to be made because of the vast number of jobs in this field, the true motivation for these students attending these green schools is the hope they will learn to have a positive impact on the environment.

Green Certifications

There are several companies which award authentic green certification to deserving businesses for their efforts. Green Advantage (GA) offers certification examinations in three categories; commercial, residential and commercial/residential. Green certification is awarded upon passing one or more exams by demonstrated knowledge in several areas which affect the environment like green building principles and techniques. Similar certifications can be earned through The Green Business League, Green Seal and other agencies whose focus is issues relating to the environment. Literally hundreds of companies, agencies and non profit organizations use their time, talent and resources to work for the same cause. Their goal is not the giving and receiving of awards. As a matter of fact they clearly state that they would rather not have the reward if there were no action behind the gesture.

Green Training

Companies all over the world are sending employees in record number to training classes to sharpen their skills or learn new skills that help to keep the planet green. There have been 48 grants awarded to trade organizations, private industry and others so that they can provide training programs which focus on all issues relating to clean energy. So called "boot camps" and green career centers fill up very quickly; which proves that many people are taking this effort seriously.

As time passes, the world's economy continues to increase its dependence on green technology. This will create jobs long into the future in such industries as recycling and energy efficiency. The added benefit is that there continues to be a global call to action to preserve the planet.
