Green energy is energy that comes from clean, non polluting and generally speaking renewable energy sources.

Clean energy is one of the most pressing issues of our time. The race to find sustainable energy is at the core of going green. Energy creation and harnessing comes from renewable and non renewable sources. Renewable energy sources include, wind, solar, hydro, wave and biofuel. Non renewable include nuclear and coal. There are other sources that are being harnessed as well, but those are the major ones.
The push towards green energy is a push away from pollution causing sources. Oil and coal are the major culprits of pollution. Oil also has an added negative because the places where it is found and pulled out of the ground, don't like western civilization very much. Dependency on foreign oil and dirty coal is not a healthy habit. We support continuing efforts to move away from those contaminates and towards clean air. Even this topic should be taken slowly, as our motto says. While we encourage the reduction of oil consumption, guilt trips are not what we are about.
