Great Green Idea: Green Products: HotPot

HotPot

The HotPot is a durable, effective panel-style pot system and solar cooker. It comes with a customized five liter black pot which is suspended in a hardened glass bowl for insulation purposes. It comes with foldable, polished aluminum reflector panels which can be easily stowed in a backpack. It is easy to take along with you, wherever you go.

It is a great way to slow cook; recipes up to a capacity of five quarts can be made in HotPot when the sun shines and the result will be comparatively more tender and flavorful in a HotPot, without even costing a cent for fuel or power. This pot can also bake some simple cakes and breads. It performs well in clear and sunny conditions. It can cook a four-pound chicken within two hours, and boil a quart of water within an hour. You just need to be a little creative for using this pot, as it is suitable for every dish which does not require frying. You can use it for soups, pulses and grains. It is great for delicious and healthy cooking with the sun's power. While giving your dishes a veritable slow-cooked flavor you can keep vitamins and nutrients in your food intact, and there is no greasy and burned food.

It is a quality-manufactured product. From steel cooking pot to tempered glass, all the parts are designed and rugged for outdoor use, and for providing you with solar cooking experiences for many years. This easy to use pot can be cleaned by using mild soap and a moist non-abrasive cloth. You can just set it up and start cooking in under 30 seconds. The sun's rays are focused by an aluminum reflector and then projected from the glass bowl to the steel pot which helps convert solar energy into heat. Owing to the half inch of air space between the glass bowl and steel pot, heat gets retained inside the glass bowl which helps create a 'greenhouse' effect for maintaining cooking temperatures.

HotPot is a secure and safe alternate option to any formal cooking system and is suitable for 'no open fire' areas. There is no smoke, burns or fire while cooking in HotPot. With HotPot you do not need to chop wood, light a fire or haul fuel so there is no requirement to supervise your food every time.

This integrated solar cooking system is a suitable new alternative for outdoors people and eco-conscious campers.
