One of the biggest challenges in life is growing up. This can be made even more difficult when you are an A-list celebrity. Miley Ray Cyrus has been in the public spotlight for many years and has had many hit songs and, of course, her very popular TV show. But being a celebrity also means having people watching your every move, good and bad. This is why I would like to take this article to focus on Miley as she is "growing up green".

Everyone knows that Hannah Montana, over the past few years, has been one of the biggest teen hits in recent decades. But few know how the actress/ singer has been using that fame to give back to charities. Miley has everything going for her, great voice, fame, cuteness and a great personality.

She also is known for giving a lot to charity. One dollar from every concert ticket is given to City of Hope. While on the face that does not seem like a lot, if you take that millions of tickets sold that is a whole lot of money. City of Hope has been focusing on cancer treatment development. With money Cyrus has give, she has been helping thousands of people. Not bad for an 18 year old. She also has worked with the Jonas Brothers in raising money for City of Hope as well. Miley is also known for working with the Libby Ross Foundation, which helps with breast cancer research.

Try emulating her by taking 10 dollars of every paycheck. After one year you will have given an additional $260 dollars to charity. This money goes a long way for charities. If every American gave $10 a paycheck to charity, that would be, $80,600,000,000. With money being tight for all, an extra $80 billion goes a very long way

Miley Ray Cyrus is as cute as a button and she keeps her figure by watching what she eats and wears. Miley is a vegetarian. She also is starting an eco friendly clothing line. Going green is not just a phrase it is a song, literally. Miley a few year back wrote a song called "Wake Up America". Even as a teenager, she seemed to have a knack to use her status to help educate. If you ever get a chance to see her, you may catch her driving her gas friendly smart car. Smart car and a smart green girl.

Cyrus is a celebrity that could be emulated. Vegetarian eating, green driving and all around green charity giver, she is becoming the green go to girl. My prediction: Miley will continue to gain in popularity and use it for good.
