New Eco-Friendly Jewelry Offers Unique Feature

Future Oxygen offers charming pendants and key chains that can be worn and carried for up to 2 years and then planted(!) to grow into beautiful flowers making a living, lasting connection to a special life moment, relationship or memory.

The beauty of the world around us and within us is reflected in the use of these products and in the new life created by the subsequent planting of such a symbol. (Of course you can continue to wear the jewelry if you prefer.) Future Oxygen products are perfect for personal use, gifts, school and church fundraisers, corporate advertising specialties and more.

All FO2 products are 100% biodegradable, including the packaging. (The one metal piece in the key chains can be returned to Future Oxygen for a discount on a future purchase.) The products are made entirely in Michigan and sourced only in the US. Future Oxygen products are partially assembled using companies in mid-Michigan whose mission is to hire mentally- and physically-challenged individuals, enabling them to be productive and earn decent wages. A portion of the proceeds from FO2 sales is donated through GreaterGood.org to support breast cancer awareness, animal rescue and support of the environment.

The company was started as a challenge. Several years ago, the company founder became too busy to send holiday cards, causing one friend to remark that she always looked forward to Tina's cards. Tina replied that it didn't really matter, the cards were certainly tossed quite quickly. The friend then challenged her to design a card that would be a keeper. Tina and her husband went one better and created their plantable greeting cards which could grow into flowers, grasses or trees. Thus was Future Oxygen Cards born.

In 2009 the ecowear jewelry line was introduced. Plantable jewelry in the form of pendants, key chains, buttons, and soon-to-be-released earrings and bracelets have been added to the greeting cards and stationery and the company is now known simply as Future Oxygen.
