Green lobbyists are going to need to have a great deal of persuasive power on their side as well. Money is one of the biggest driving factors for any lobbyist campaign. Most lobbyists are people who have made a name for themselves, as this will help them have the best chance of getting politicians to listen to them. This does not mean that you will not be able to become a green lobbyist if you have the desire, but you may have to work harder than others will to be noticed.
You may not have to go to Washington DC in order to be an effective lobbyist, however. There will be opportunities for lobbyists to work in various states all over the country, especially the states that have a great deal of action with an environmental interest already happening.
